Mermaids! an everlasting mystery indeed. From the old sailors to the latest Disney movies we can see them through their existence still in the deep depths of oceans.
Here we are introducing you to the story of a little green mermaid illustrated by Ukrainian digital artist Andy Ivanov. The name of his digital work is -“May, the Mermaid of Lily Lake”.

Synopsis: Once upon a time May, the little green mermaid of Lily lake found a handsome man who is eventually become the hero of the story on the banks of Lily lake. May get attracted by the charming young man and tried to give him a close look. She wanted to be his friend. The young man accidentally dropped his phone in the lake. Then when he slipped trying to rescue his phone and meet with Lily.
They fall in love with each other like love at first sight. Then Lily kissed him. Suddenly the man became unconscious and started sinking. May thought it was her fault, she might be poisoned him by her kiss. She saved him from drowning and promised him something by saying – “Please, live… I’ll bring you a Petal of life!”.
May, the little green mermaid of Lily lake saved the hero of the artwork from drowning then she get caught by some evil men. She comes to know that the man he saved was acting to catch her. Then they transferred her to some aquarium for display.
Then the man who help in catching her realised that he have done something wrong and convinced himself to do justice for May. Then he rescued her and get back to the lake but was shot by someone in his back. Then May did the magic and rejuvenate his soul. Our hero could not understand how he became alive after the gunshot. Then lily showed him something – the flower that she called Petal of life.
In the meantime that bastard the hunter found them and tried to pick the flower. At that moment May revealed that if he picks the flower she will die. The hunter did the obvious, he picked it without any hesitation. Our hero punched that bastard in the face. On the other hand, May started dying. Then The Hero said “Oh no, no… It’s all because of me, I’m so sorry, my love” in the worm of conscience and kissed her. Here is the twist of the story that comes with hope for both of them.
